Although there is a whole month for the New Year and the Father Frost to come but Yerevan is little by little being involved into the atmosphere of the holiday. In particular, the first New Year trees appear in the street booths. With “biting” prices (10 000-15 000, even 20 000 drams), of course, but however... One thing cheers up: we are finally getting used to the custom of beautifying the celebration of the New Year with artificial trees. Nevertheless, judging bi the previous year and even by the present situation, in 2005-2006 only artificial trees will be put up for sale./Panorama.am/

02.12.2005 ARMENIAN-RUSSIAN BUSINESS FORUM IS TO BE HELD
From December 2 -5, in 2005 the Russian national exhibition and an economic forum is to be held in Yerevan. The exhibition becomes the logic end of the extensive program of the actions which have been lasted within the limits of Year of the Russian Federation in Armenia.
In the exhibition, organized in the Ministry of economical development and trade of the Russian Federation, about fifty Russian business companies will take part, among them such known, as Joint-Stock Company Inter of the Russian Open Society "United Power Systems" ," Vneshtorgbank ", and group of company, group of company "BAMO ", the Moscow factory "Electroboard ", “Karkomauto”, “Roskosmos” and others.
In the exhibition such sections will be broadly presented as transport, the power, the food equipment, electronics, instrument making, nonferrous metallurgy, manufacture of chemical materials, financial (bank) sphere, IT (information technologies), etc. The Program of measures assumes the organization of a stock exchange of business contacts, carrying out of presentations of the companies-exhibitors and round tables will be widely presented. Participation of M. Fradkov, the prime minister of Russia is expected. A.V.
